SALES MANAGER – PORT MORESBY


Based in Port Moresby and reporting to the Operations Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales teams to achieve sales targets and ensuring that excellent customer service standards are maintained in the field, on our front counter, via email and over the phone. The Sales Manager is expected to actively engage and network with new
and existing customers to solicit business and increase the business unit’s customer base.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Work with the GM Operations and Operations Managers to achieve sales targets, improve loan quality, improve customer service and build a rapport with key stakeholders in both Government and Private Sectors in Port Moresby.
  • Implement new Employer Agreements with specific private companies.
  • Manage and motivate the sales staff to achieve individual and teams’ overall sales performance;
  • Establish a committed sales team, with appropriate on the job training and coaching;
  • Developing effective calling plans and sales strategies for Port Moresby and the region;
  • Build strong relationships with Government payroll officers particularly in ITD and Education Department, in conjunction with the PVA Officer;
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager in developing nour sales and marketing programmes and ensure sales staff are fully briefed and daily non-negotiables are completed on time;
  • Ensure sales staff meet the Code of Conduct expectations of the company at all times.
  • In conjunction with the Operations Manager, implement company and any legislative policy as amended from time to time;
  • Establish a strong NF presence in Port Moresby and neighbouring areas;
  •  Work closely with Credit Department to identify branches and/or sales officers who continually submit substandard applications;
  •  Work closely with Manager Collections to identify any risky employer groups of Government departments;
  • Any other tasks assigned by Management.
Job Requirements:


Requirements:
 
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Supervisor or Manager;
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ sales experience;
  • Experience in the financial services industry will be favourably considered;
  • Proven people and process management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a sales team;
  • Ability to implement sales strategies;
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and exceeding targets;
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Computer literate with MS Office skills;
  • Have a passion for sales and customer service;
  • Possess trustworthiness, reliability and hard work ethic;
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent presentation skills;
  • Be well presented and take pride in their personal appearance;
  • Be highly motivated and be prepared to go the extra mile when required.
