Property Officer for Madang

Job Summary: The ELCPNG is seeking a qualified and motivated
Property Officer to join our Asset Management Unit (AMU). This role
is crucial in maintaining and ensuring the functionality, safety, and
financial viability of our extensive property portfolio in Madang. The
Property Officer will work within a collaborative team environment
under the leadership of a two-person Management Team consisting
of a Manager Rentals and a Manager Land Development. The ideal
candidate will possess strong property management skills, financial
acumen, a commitment to the values of the Church, and experience
in various aspects of property management.


Responsibilities:
 
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all ELCPNG properties.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and oversee maintenance work in coordination with the team.
  • Assist in developing and managing annual property budgets.
  • Facilitate property handover/takeover processes for tenants.
  • Assist in negotiating lease agreements and oversee rent collection.
  • Support property development projects and lease renewals.
  • Provide technical advice on legal aspects concerning property matters.
  • Prepare reports on property management activities.
Job Requirements:


Qualifications:
 
  • Diploma or relevant qualification in Property Management.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in property management.
  • Strong understanding of property maintenance and repair processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of the ELCPNG.
  • Experience working in a religious organization.
  • Fluency in English and Tok Pisin.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations in Papua New Guinea.
  • Proficiency in property management software.
