• Based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

About TSSP Phase 3

The PNG–Australia Transport Sector Support Program Phase 3 (TSSP3) is a critical, high-priority Australian investment that stands to make a major contribution to PNG development outcomes.

Working closely with the Government of PNG (GoPNG), TSSP3 will build on the significant body of achievements, lessons, and relationships from the past 17 years of operation and will continue to contribute to the achievement of the overarching goal of:

‘A more effective, efficient, and inclusive transport system, enabling the economic and social development of PNG.’

Gender Equity, Disability Equity, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) and Social and Environmental Safeguards, Locally Led Development (LLD), Climate Change and Disaster Resilience (CCDR) and Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Learning and Adapting (MERLA) are a key focus for the program and are integrated into all of TSSP3’s activities and operations.

This phase of TSSP3 will run from November 2023 to November 2028.

About the Role

The ICT Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and secure operation of IT systems across multiple TSSP3 locations, including Bougainville Program Management Office (BPMO), Department of Works and Highways (DoWH), Department of Transport (DoT), Harbourside West Level 1 (HSWL1) and Short-Term Advisers (STA) or working from home. The role includes managing IT infrastructure, overseeing data security, and providing technical support to staff. The ICT Coordinator has a proactive role in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure, while also providing support and leadership across the multiple locations of TSSP3 operations.
 
About you

Selection Criteria:
To be successful for this role, you must possess the following including, but not limited to:
 
  • Minimum qualification of a Diploma in IT Systems Administration or Network Administration with a minimum of 5 years work experience in IT Support Level 1 (L1) and/or Level 2 (L2).
  • Has experience using Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SharePoint will be an advantage
  • Is organized and has a high level of administrative skills
  • Strong personnel and time management skills
  • Appreciation of systems, procedures, and systematic thinking
  • Sound work ethic, and the ability to produce work in a timely manner.
  • Capacity to balance competing priorities and demands and respond flexibly
  • An understanding of open and transparent procurement and supply principles
  • Ability to work productively and manage a team with limited supervision
  • Experience working with development programs/projects is desirable
