PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE GENERAL MANAGER
The Papua New Guinea Dock Yard Limited (PNGDY) is ideally located in the North-West corner of Port Moresby’s Fairfax Harbour, on Motukea Island – a 106-hectare world class prime industrial park.
PNGDY operates to international standards servicing local clients as well as attracting business from international trade routes. Recent developments have created both opportunities for growth for shipping maintenance and support services. We are currently seeking a qualified Personal Assistant to our General Manager to fulfil this role.
The role is to handle requests and quires from employees and clients appropriately. Also, to oversee and
screen documents, set up meetings, enter data and assist the General Manager on a daily basis.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and materials for publications and presentations
- Perform general secretarial duties for GM & Department Heads
- Set up GM’s travel arrangements for company clients and personals.
- Maintain GM’s calendar for appointments and functions.
- Answer telephones in a professional manner.
- Meet and greet clients and visitors.
- Perform general clerical duties but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
- Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.
- Maintain client register.
- Maintain travel register (leave schedule)
- Sign for courier deliveries for GM
- Supervise support staff.
- Purchase office & cleaning supplies ensuring value for money is maintained.
- Purchase admin staff uniforms ensuring value for money is maintained.
- Other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
