We have an immediate requirement for a Training Coordinator – Leadership Programs to join our Human Resources team in Port Moresby.

The role:
Reporting to the Training Manager, the Training Coordinator - Leadership & Apprenticeship Programs, is responsible for managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting all training programs relating to Brian Bell Group’s Leadership & Graduate Development Program (GDP) and Apprenticeship Programs.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Map out annual training plans for BBG’s Leadership & GDP and Apprenticeship Program
  • Design and develop training programs (outsourced and / or in-house)
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, and professional development classes)
  • Market available training to relevant team members and provide necessary information about sessions
  • Conduct training needs assessment for Leadership & Graduate trainees and Apprentice and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed
  • Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on team member skills and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Research and recommend new training methods
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources or similar
  • Proven experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar
  • 5 years + work experience specifically in managing GDP and Apprenticeship Programs
  • Hands-on experience coordinating and developing training material for Graduate Development Program and / or Apprenticeship Program
  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Experience with e-learning platforms
  • MS Office proficiency
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with individuals at all levels
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple deadlines in an efficient manner
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills

Potential must be flexible to work Saturdays, and on public holidays when required.  This role requires a Police Clearance certificate as a minimum requirement.
