Job Description:
Colgate-Palmolive (PNG) Ltd is now seeking a suitably qualified candidate for the role of Channel Manager_Wholesale to be based in Port Moresby.
The successful candidate will:
Oversee wholesale channels in Port Moresby, Popondetta & Alotau, managing critical touchpoints with Wholesale Customers.
Develop and share monthly promotional calendars based on category reviews for bothinternal and external stakeholders.
Handle customer accounts & queries, ensuring efficient management of debtors in compliance with terms of business. Keep Regional Sales Manager updated on progress.
Lead the Inventory Management process in collaboration with the Sales Analyst, to support customers through order recommendations.
Utilise data analytics to develop trade strategies for distribution and revenue growth opportunities by territory. Collaborate with the Sales analyst to analyze internal data to formulate strategy aligned with business goals.
Support channel development through monthly team meetings on wholesale topics. Seek feedback from Field teams to identify opportunities in trade.
Direct communication with decision makers in wholesale channel on business strategies and marketing initiatives.
Manage direct feedback to Field Operations teams for wholesale channel strategies in Port Moresby, Alotau & Popondetta. Present quarterly sales results based on joint business agreements and identify growth opportunities.
Ensure to work closely with Field teams and support them to meet mandatory reporting requirements, achieve quarterly sales targets and meet 5P execution standards in trade.
Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Regional Sales Manager.Collect and submit weekly timesheets for staff to Sales Administration for HR processing.
Job Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Business Management or related field is highly favorable
5 Years Sales or Marketing experience
Strong leadership and analytical skills
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to work in a Team environment
Sound analytical skills
Strong negotiation skills
