HIGATURU ADVERT

New Britain Palm Oil Limited (NBPOL) is a large scale integrated, and leading industrial producer of sustainable palm oil in Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands. The NBPOL Group has over 76,000 hectares of planted oil palm plantations, a further 10,000 hectares under preparation for oil palm, over 5,500 hectares of sugar cane and a further 9,000 hectares of grazing pasture, twelve oil mills, two refineries (one in PNG, and one in Liverpool, UK), as well as a seed production and plant breeding facility. Fully RSPO accredited, NBPOL is fully vertically integrated, producing its own seed (which it also sells globally) and planting, cultivating, and harvesting its own land and processing and refining palm oil, in both PNG and the UK. It also contracts directly with its end-customers in the EU and arranges shipping of its products.

We are looking for qualified talents to join us at Higaturu Oil Palms International School at Siroga in Popondetta, Northern Province for the following position.
 
TEACHER POSITION

Job Purpose:
 
  • Responsible for preparing and implementing full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirement.
  • Makes effective use of the resources in fulfilling educational goals and continuously seeks to innovate teaching and learning experiences.
Job Requirements:



Selection Criteria:
 
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree or diploma in teaching from a recognised institution.
  • Has 3 - 10 years teaching experience both in International Schools and national system schools
  • Fully knowledgeable about Australian Curriculum and he/she has vast experience teaching NSW
  • these key learning areas English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, The Creative Arts
  • Humanities, Geography and History.
  • Has sound knowledge of Jolly Phonics Teaching and Play Based Learning.
  • Can teach Primary Composite class of K/Prep.
  • English Subject knowledge must be a major strength in teaching.
  • Is a Team player, innovative and has the passion to deliver excellent results in students learning outcomes.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Has sound knowledge of effective Student Behaviour Management and sound Pastoral Care.
  • Willingness to organize, facilitate and participate in extra curricula duties.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proven ability to adapt to a new living and working environment.
  • Has a sound knowledge of Guided Reading and Genre Writing Programs
  • IT Proficient
  • Can teach Religious Education as part of extra curricula
