Articulated Truck Driver

Load and unload containers and transfer cargo between ships and other forms of transport and storage facilities
Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading
Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting and tipping devices
Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles
Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely including performing and reporting Pre-Shift Safety Inspection
Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight
Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damag
Verifying loading documents, checking condition of goods, and obtaining certification of deliveries
Driving float trucks or articulated vehicles, carrying machines and equipment to and from Company yard
Timely collection and delivery of containers
Assist in equipment repairs, clean-up, and re-fuelling
Accurately read and interpret gauges
Able to train to operate forklift, man-lift, skid-steer, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment as needed, using both feet and hands to manipulate foot and hand controls simultaneously
Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment and grounds
Follow applicable road and vehicle rules, regulations, and laws
Follow Curtain Bros Safety Rules and Policies.

Job Requirements:: Selection Requirement:

Must have Valid Full Class 4 Driver License
Valid Full Class 7 Driver Licence and advantage
Willing to learn to operate haul truck equipment
Accident-free and clean driving records
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar role
Must have a disciplined and well organised approach to the work environment
Previous experience in working in a multi-cultural environment
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to interface with colleagues at all levels
Must be able to deal with short time frames and handle multiple competing priorities
Must be able to follow safety protocols
Must be POM Residence
