Category Manager - Digital

Job Description:

Manage digital product assortments, ensuring seasonal relevance and appropriate merchandise purchasing.
Handle sourcing, pricing, and profitability for newly launched products.
Develop after-sales service strategies, including setting up service points.
Allocate new products and establish inventory parameters (min/max quantities) for stores.
Drive sales and GP (gross profit) targets while maintaining profitability.
Monitor and analyse category performance monthly, presenting insights to the operations team.
Ensure supplier service fill-rates and product availability across all classifications (A-E SKUs).
Manage inventory by addressing slow-moving items and maintaining optimal weeks of supply.
Identify growth opportunities with exclusive product lines and lead new product development, supported by comprehensive marketing campaigns.

Job Requirements:: The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Tertiary qualifications with experience in digital category management; a technology background is advantageous.
Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems like Pronto.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills with a strategic mindset.
Proven expertise in category management, marketing, sales, and retail inventory.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, creativity, and innovation.
