OPERATIONS MANAGER

Our client, International Education Agency of PNG (IEA) is looking for a proven Operations Manager who has a strong background in Security, Occupational Health and Safety and Facility Management.  This role is based at their Headoffice in Port Moresby.
 
Key Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:
 
  • Developing operational strategies aligned with company goals. 
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements. 
  • Setting performance metrics and targets. 

Operational Management:
 
  • Managing daily operations and workflows. 
  • Monitoring productions schedules and ensuring timely delivery. 
  • Overseeing resource allocation and utilization. 

Staff Management:
 
  • Hiring, training, and developing operational staff. 
  • Delegating tasks and supervising employees. 
  • Performance evaluation and coaching 

Quality Control:
 
  • Implementing and maintaining quality standards. 
  • Identifying and resolving quality issues. 
  • Monitoring quality metrics and reporting on findings 

Financial Management:
 
  • Developing and managing operational budgets. 
  • Analyzing financial performance and identifying cost-saving opportunities. 
  • Forecasting operational expenses 

Data Analysis and Reporting:
 
  • Collecting and analyzing operational data. 
  • Generating reports on key performance indicators (KPIs). 
  • Identifying trends and opportunities for improvement 

Compliance and Risk Management:
 
  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and industry standards. 
  • Identifying and mitigating operational risks 
Job Requirements:

The successful applicant must have:
 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Logistics, Operations, Risk Management or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in a senior Leadership role in Operations that covered security, Occupational Health & Safety and facility management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking skills;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledgeable in security best practice proceedures to ensure the organization security is effectiv
  • Risk assessment/management skills.
  • Conceptual planning ability.
  • Experience in facility management in reputable organizations.
