Job Description:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
 
  • Operate and monitor water treatment equipment, including filtration, softening, reverse, osmosis, UV disinfection, and chemical dosing systems, to ensure efficient and continuous water treatment.
  • Regularly test water samples for parameters such as pH, turbidity, hardness, chlorine levels, and microbial content. Ensure that water quality meets the specifications required for beverage production.
  • Perform routine sanitation, maintenance and calibration of water treatment equipment. Troubleshoot and repair any equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and ensure consistent operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of water quality tests, equipment maintenance, chemical usage and any deviations from standard operating procedures. Prepare reports for management review.
  • Monitor and update stock and control of all WTP consumables.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and experiences required:

* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in water treatment operations, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.   
* Strong understanding of water treatment processes, equipment and water quality testing methods. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in using water treatment monitoring systems and basic computer software.
* Water treatment operator certification (e.g.: Trade Certification or equivalent) is preferred. 
* Grade 12 or equivalent required, additional technical training or certification in food production or operation is a plus.
