VACANCY NOTICE – CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

The position is full time with a three-month probation period. Upon successful completion of the probation period the employee will have the opportunity to become full-time employee.

About the Role:
The role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple construction sites the respective team, ensuring that each project meets our high standards of quality workmanship and complies with relevant Building Codes and report directly to the General Manager.
Daily responsibilities will include conducting site inspections, facilitating onsite meetings with trades, providing regular reports on project progress, quality control, leading safety culture on site, costs and schedules.

You will apply principles of construction to solve complex problems, ensure compliance with safety standards, and contribute to the development of innovative technologies.
 
The responsibilities of the role:

 
  • Provide daily supervision of sites, suppliers, and trades.
  • Take ownership of jobs from commencement to completion.
  • Form professional relationships will clients, complete fortnightly updates, and provide on-site meeting opportunities.
  • Monitor quality of construction & ensure items are actioned accordingly.
  • Engage, coordinate & manage trades during the construction Process.
  • Schedule work and coordinate trades.
  • Communicate & negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
  • Attend & contribute to weekly team meetings.
  • Ensure all inspections, certificates of final inspection & relevant documentation are signed off.
  • Ensure all company OH&S policies are always followed.
  • Maintain a strong eye for detail across the project from start to finish yet still working on timelines.
  • Offer support to other team members in solving problems and making decisions.
  • Keep call forward sheets up to date regularly.
  • Other tasks as directed.
Job Requirements:

About Applicant:
 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in local residential construction building/construction industry, legislation, and codes
  • Strong knowledge of building Standards & Tolerances, BSA's, OHS regulations, and QA systems
  • Trade qualification such as carpentry - Advantage but not required.
  • Must have construction White card.
  • Must have a current and valid Driver’s license.
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • An ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
