Job Description:
Job brief:
Primary objective of the role of Inventory Control Manager is to ensure all finished goods and raw material inventory within the business including all incoming and outgoing stock. The incumbent will work closely with the Warehouse manager and the Logistics manager under the leadership of the National Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing timely processing of customer/ client orders from sales order creation to pick slip printing to invoicing, ensuring this process is done without error.
  • Monitoring liquidation of all generated invoices every day and timely submission to Accounts Receivable. Tracking daily any delayed and undelivered invoices and resolving/ investigating missing invoices.
  • Processing credit notes in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring finished goods transfers from Production to Warehouse and following the policies and procedures.
  • Timely GRN of traded finished goods from suppliers.
  • Ensuring weekly physical stock counts.
  • Preparing detailed variance reports to management.
  • Monthly reviewing of expiry of stocks.
  • Submit daily inventory report to Sales team.
  • Submit monthly debit note report.
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency.
Success in this position will be measured by achievement of applied targets:
1. Maintain monthly variance below 0.02% of total traded goods  (20%)
2. Expiry, Variance, Fuel, Disposal and Pallet monthly report to be submitted in Teams as per cut-off time (20%)
3. Inter branch transfer shipping documents within 24 hrs. after containers are sealed (20%)
4. GRN done on time within 48 hrs. after arrival of goods (20%)
5. On-time printing of picking slip within 1 hour of sales order being raised. (20%)
 
Job Requirements:
Requirements for this role:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any business-related course, accountancy is advantageous.
  • Has 3 -5 years of experience in FMCG environment with in depth experience in Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory 
  • Has hands-on experience in Finance and a basic understanding of IT
  • Team player and can handle pressure.
