VACANCY NOTICE – WAREHOUSE INVENTORY SUPERVISOR

The position is full time with a three-month probation period. Upon successful completion of the probation period the employee will have the opportunity to become full-time employee.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Inventory Supervisor to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient inventory management and operational excellence within our warehouse facility. The Warehouse Inventory Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse Manager and play a key role in overseeing inventory control, optimizing space utilization, and maintaining high standards of inventory accuracy.

 The responsibilities of the role:
 
  • Oversee the accuracy of inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods efficiently and accurately.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and stock shortages.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and storage methods to maximize space utilization.
  • Monitor and improve warehouse operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order processing and fulfilment to meet customer demands.
  • Generate and analyse reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and operational metrics.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, including training, performance evaluations, and coaching to maintain high performance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings initiatives in warehouse operations.
Job Requirements:



About Applicant:
 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • High school diploma required; additional certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., WMS), MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in supervising and motivating a team of warehouse personnel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse data, identify issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities to manage priorities and workflow within a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records and compliance with procedures.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and enforcing safety regulations.
Collaborative approach to work, fostering teamwork and a positive work culture among warehouse staff.
