We have an immediate requirement for Sales Consultant – Technical to be based in Port Moresby and join our amazing Technical Services Centre team.
 
The role:
The Sales Consultant - Technical is the primary contact for assigned clients, focused on customer satisfaction and retention as well as updating information / transactions in Pronto.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Managing sales initiatives in the assigned customer groups, sales channels and regions
  • Enhancing existing client relationships and engaging with new leads by understanding their product needs and providing technical and solution-based advice
  • Identify new sales opportunities in the assigned customer groups, sales channels or regions through customer, competitor and market analyses and data mining.
  • Undergoing continuous training to become a local product competence leader
  • Follow up on work-in-progress with service coordinators and the Service Manager
  • Achieve monthly sales targets
Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Diploma or Bachelors in Marketing, Business Management or related
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Supervisory role
  • Prior experience in a sales capacity
  • Technical aptitude to understand and explain product features, benefits and performance
  • Promote and position key strategic products and service offerings
  • Self-motivated with a strategic approach to researching clients and following sales processes
  • The demonstrated ability to meet / exceed KPI's, grow sales and your client base
  • Analysing customer needs and recommending relevant products
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients through regular check-ins
  • Achieving realistic sales targets and meeting monthly sales goals
  • Working as part of a team, liaising with parts and technicians daily
  • Overseeing product installations, conduct site visits
  • Staying on top of industry trends 
  • Excellent client service, account management, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good IT / administrative skills experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Pronto
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills – schedule regular customer visits
  • Current driver's licence
 
Potential candidates must be flexible to work Saturdays and on public holidays when required.  This role requires a Police Clearance certificate as a minimum requirement.
