Company History

The National Airports Corporation is a State avition enterprise established under the Civil Aviation Act 2000 as amended.

The Company evolved from the airport division functions of the former Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) through a NEC approved Civil Aviation Authrority Reform program that seperated the regulatory functions from the commercial functions of the former CAA.

Ownership

• NAC is owned by the people of Papua New Guinea, through the Trustee Shareholding of the Minister for Treasury & Finance, and the Minister for Civil Aviation.

Facilities and Location(s)

• NAC owns and opeartes 22 National Airporst located throughout the country’s main provincial headquaters. Port Moresby, Nadzab, Mt Hagen, Tokua, Madang, Wewak, Gurney, Hoskins, Goroka, Kavieng,  Buka, Momote, Vanimo, Tari, Mendi, Kundiawa, Wapenamanda, Kerema, Kiunga, Daru, Girua, and Arawa
