Look
out for fake adverts & imposters
There are often fake adverts placed on job boards – they may ask
for personal information about yourself or information about your bank accounts
– please be careful and do not respond to these adverts – our team try to spot
these adverts and to remove them before candidates respond to their requests.
What to look out for
- Addresses that don’t look real – usually aren’t real
- Adverts that are really badly written – usually show they aren’t
trying to recruit new staff only – they are from imposters looking for
information.
- Requests for information that make you feel uncomfortable.
- Companies do not tend to have gmail
/ or hotmail addresses – be wary of these
- Adverts asking for fees, bank or credit card payments,

What to do if you suspect an ad or email is a fake
