Joining our team at Port Moresby Nature Park and contribute to building PNG's premier recreational attraction dedicated to aspiring through educating the guardianship of PNG's natural environment

Role Summary:  

Performs all account functions under supervision for Port Moresby Nature Park.  Contributes to the company by ensuring all accounting records are entered and recorded such that formal accounts reports can be made.

Specific Functions:  
Reporting to and under the supervision of the Finance Manager, the Accounts Clerk’s Roles & Responsibilities include:
  • Performs all banking functions, change floats and petty cash
  • Perform all accounts data entry on the appropriate computer program &/or file
  • Maintains all accounts records in appropriate folders and correctly files for easy location
  • Reports daily to the Finance Manager on the performance of accounts and receipt of bills
  • Performs monthly reconciliations that is assigned
  • Ensures the utmost confidentiality regarding Port Moresby Nature Park’s financial status, clients and documentation
  • Assists in the end of year accounts and audits as and when required
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conducts any other administrative or accounting duties as directed by the Finance Manager
  • Works closely with other members of the accounts team
  • Assists in special projects as assigned by the General Manager

Job Requirements:
  • Skills required for the position
  •  Ability to work under pressure
  •  Excellent English and Pidgin communication
  •  Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality on all financial information
  •  Must be reliable, hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic
  •  Honesty being an important trait
  •  Ability to work as part of a team and independently where required and work with, and encourage     other departments participation
  •  Excellent computer skills to maintain records and perform complex equations
  •  Knowledge and use of MYOB
  •  Desire to attend further training 
  •  Min. Diploma in Accounting with 1-2 years Experience.
