Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the role of the Buyer is to source and purchase materials, supplies and services at the most competitive price consistent with approved quality and delivery standards.
To be successful you must have:
A Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Finance.
3 – 5 years of experience in a purchasing environment.
Some experience relating to Marketing and Sales and Service, Spare Parts and Logistics.
Excellent communication, negotiation and inter-personal skills.
Strong understanding of production planning, price evaluation, contract and tender procedures and customs tariffs.
