The Campus Vice President is the executive officer of a Divine Word University campus. He/she plans and directs the work of the University campus in accordance with the University vision, mission and purpose. He/she is appointed by the University Council on the recommendation of the President and reports to the President. The term of appointment is for three (3) years and may be renewed. The Campus Vice President reports to the President and is a member of the University Cabinet
At least 10 years’ senior management experience in university or higher education administration, academic administration, or in cognate positions in the private or public sector
A record of demonstrated achievement in management of significant private or public sector programs or organizations
A strong record in leading people and change management
Substantial first-hand experience in meeting budget targets, managing people for results, and managing physical and ICT infrastructure
Demonstrated personal qualities of integrity and honesty, resilience and perseverance
A sound understanding of managing in an academic environment or the ability rapidly to acquire this understanding
Experience of working in developing countries would be an advantage.
At least some knowledge of and familiarity with the Papua New Guinean context is desirable.
