Operations Supervisor – Lihir Based

Our client, a PNG Investment Company, is expanding operations and due to this growth, they now seek a suitable Operations Supervisor to join their team, based at their Lihir Office. Lihir based applicants are encouraged to apply.

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to- day operations in Lihir across key functional areas including Human Resource Management, Property and Facilities Management, Fleet Management, Office Administration, Business Development and Stakeholder Management.


Key responsibilities:
 
  • Oversee the Human Resource Management functions in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Manage the Property and Facilities Management function
  • Manage the company’s vehicle fleet, including usage scheduling, maintenance and repairs
  • Oversee office administration functions, including procurement of supplies, asset management, and document control.
  • Assist with identifying business development opportunities and initiatives with Newmont, Landowner companies and potential JV partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with key stakeholders, including the Shareholder, Newmont, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
Job Requirements:




Requirements:
 
  • Diploma or Bachelor & Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management tools.
  • Proven working experience in operations management or supervision, stakeholder management and business development.
  • Knowledge of human resource management, fleet management, property management, business development and administrative processes.
  • Strong leadership and organizational knowledge with excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
