Job Description:
Are you ready to take charge, make bold decisions, and shape the future of our pharmacy category? We're looking for a passionate and creative Category Manager - Pharmacy to join our team and deliver exceptional results!
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with company objectives.
Identify growth opportunities by analysing market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities.
Curate and maintain an optimal product mix for the pharmacy category.
Collaborate with suppliers to source quality products that meet customer demands.
Establish competitive pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Plan and execute promotional campaigns to drive sales and enhance brand awareness.
Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, covering pricing, delivery, and marketing support.
Build strong relationships with current suppliers and identify new partnership opportunities.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock.
Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely replenishments.
Analyse sales performance and generate actionable insights.
Prepare regular reports to evaluate category performance against set targets.
Work closely with marketing, operations, and supply chain teams to align strategies.
Guide store teams on category-specific initiatives to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and minimize expired stock to maintain quality and compliance standards.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in category management, buying, or a similar role, preferably in pharmacy or retail.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and regulatory requirements (preferred).
Proficiency in data analysis, MS Excel, and inventory management principles.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and multitasking skills.
Strategic thinker with a focus on business growth and meeting deadlines.
Bonus: Experience in healthcare or pharmaceuticals and knowledge of tender regulations or FMCG processes.
